So! New journal!

I got Kaya's new Glitter cd on the 16th. It's AMAZING. All the songs seem so much more refined - and I can even stand to listen to this version of Masquerade! I can't wait for the Salon du Chocolat DVD next month.

I went out and did some cosplay photos, and that was fun, even if it was a really ghetto costume. Going downtown is fun! I got a pretty bad sunburn though, and my arms feel like they're on fire. Ah well, you get what you deserve when you forget sunscreen.

In PSU stuffs, my characters are all getting decently high level now! Demi is 102/Acrotecher 20, Raven is 67/Acrofighter 10, Lucius is 61/Acrotecher 9, and Enriqueta is 52/Fighgunner 6.

So apparently my costume pictures can't remain in the COSTUMES section because I didn't make them.

Sorry to disappoint you, DA mods, but

I DO MAKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY COSTUMES. I HAVE NEVER COMMISSIONED ANYTHING OTHER THAN PROPS, AND ALMOST ALL OF MY WIG STYLING IS DONE BY ME OR SAILORANIME.

Moving my costumes and telling me I can't post them is bullshit.

So yeah, if I didn't make it, where did I get these progress shots of me trying it on as I made it to make sure things fit?

[link] After my first day of work - top assembled, sewn, and bias tape pinned on. Tried it on to make sure the bias tape was lined up evenly all around.

[link] About two weeks later. Shorts and top are both completely done, armor painted on, etc.

What else do I need to do? Take photos of my leftover fabric and eyelets and the bottles of acrylic and fabric medium? Should I credit where I got the wig from*? Seriously D: I will openly admit I did not make the tights or shoes, because, who does? But those are not the majority of the costume.

In fact, the only "commissioned" part of the costume was the armguard [link] , which was made by ~SailorAnime, as an early birthday gift for me.

I'm also going to throw out there that LadyJade on cosplay.com and Chalchihuitlicue on deviantart are, in fact, the same person! I know it is shocking that I might be a part of both sites, but just pointing that out in case some of the confusion is coming from there.

Edited to add: [link] This is the exact message I got, so that DA can not try to pull a fast one and say this is not what they said/intended. I completely understand the "it's too much of a portrait" comment, but I had no idea that cosplay does not count as costume making any more, apparently. Also, I find it INCREDIBLY rude to just assume that because this isn't a hundred progress pictures collaged together that I didn't make it. I just figured it shouldn't go under portraits because it wasn't a portrait I took. But I guess now photography can mean you were there for the shoot, you were in the shoot, or you were the photographer, or you were in the same town, etc. Man this site has some weird standards.

So yeah, not real pleased with deviantart any more.

It's been almost a year since I updated my journal here.

A lot of stuff has changed.

I live in a house now, with some of my best friends (yay!). I have two guinea pigs of my own, named Mulder and Scully, after the main characters in the X-Files.

However, I'm still obsessed with Kaya (he needs to release a new cd ;_; I haven't had anything new since Halloween). XD I still cosplay all the time, too.

Art... has been coming and going. Most of it doesn't get finished, hence no updates here. I'm going to try to change that, but we'll see how that goes. XD

...by actually being in a good mood for a change.

But yesterday was a surprisingly good day... I managed to get my demented butterfly/mosquito flying vehicle into Unreal Tournament for my Game Prototyping class (it's not textured yet and flies backwards, but it's in there! Which is good enough for my teacher to accept now, and let me turn in a finished version later).

The weather was actually nice... The sun was out for the first time in probably a couple of weeks and it WASN'T numbingly cold out, and I didn't have to scrape my car off in the morning to go to class. The streets were even clean of slush and ice! (I'd been doing donuts in the road on accident on the way to the post office the day before. Luckily, I never hit anything, but GODS was it embarassing.)

And it is made of so much win... I love almost all of the songs (the remix of Masquerade being the exception, but, well, I hate the regular version of it too, and there isn't much of a difference between them). It makes me so happy that Hora continues to write music for Kaya even though they are not Schwarz Stein any more. The songs written by Hora are my favourites! Walküre is one of the best songs on the cd, and is now one of my favourite songs. Glitter Arch is also getting to be one of my favourites... SO PRETTY! <3

I was disappointed with the remix of Psycho Butterfly, because like the Masquerade one, it's not very noticeably different from the original. I was also disappointed by the lack of actual pictures of Kaya in it... He's so pretty, and there were only 3 pictures of him, including the cover! D:

In other news, I got Demi to level 45 and Fortetecher 3 in PSU. Only 22 more ATA till I can use Kikami, and 16 DEF until I can use Sori-Senba.

And I was finally able to buy Lucius an outfit that doesn't suck! Yay!


And for those wondering about my PSU portraits... Aerin's is nearly finished, and I have started sketching Scejntjynahl's. Okami, Samber and Demi will likely be the next ones that I do.

Why yes, I am only posting this here because the people I play with in PSU might see it. D:

I am fucking pissed as hell at this unbelieveably callous and stupid guy named Shen Hwun. The first time I met him was one of the first times I'd done the Grove of Fanatics mission on Neudaiz (I love that mission to death, by the way). Not only was he higher level than all the rest of us, but he would go on ahead on his own and kill half the level without us, robbing us of the exp. Cherry and Okami and the others didn't seem to mind, but that ALWAYS annoys me. Mostly because I can only manage to tag things, so I'm getting less exp anyway. So I bitched at him to play as though he was part of a team instead of stealing all the exp. No biggie, in my opinion, as I only said one thing about it the entire time we were playing.

Anyhoo, I managed to avoid meeting him again for quite some time... About 18 or so levels, I think. Then I joined up with him and Okami to do runs of another mission on Neudaiz, because they wanted a force to help them out. D: And while Okami disconnected, Shen proceeded to mock me for valuing team play. Then later, when Shen went to recharge his weapons back at the field base, Okami and I ran ahead to OPEN BOXES, and the stupid fucker starts bitching at me that it's "not good teamwork". (My response? "Oh fuck you" and disconnecting. Right before the boss, no less.)

And today, he had the audacity to pretend he wanted to apologize. "I think we got off on the wrong foot" and all that. Yeah fucking right. Look, it's all fine and dandy if my other friends felt bad, but, gods, don't try and convince me that an asshole is not an asshole. He treats me like shit, I'm not going to play with him, and I'm NEVER going to like him, or accept his bullshit apology. EVER. You mock me for ANYTHING, and I will hate you FOREVER. Being critical is a different story, but openly mocking me? Yeah. No.

It's people like Shen who make me seriously consider never playing with anyone ever again, or just giving up gaming entirely.
